Terms of Service

Continued Strike is a free matchmaking app, with the game servers, ranks and stats that go with it. Continued Strike is the trading name of a sole trader based in the UK. You can contact us at [email protected]. Using the website, the app or our servers means you agree to the following.
Access
Access is by invite: signing in with Steam isn't enough on its own, your account also has to be approved through our Discord. Playing is free. Access can be taken away at any time for cheating, harassment or abusing the service.
Your account
Your Continued Strike account is tied to your Steam account. You're responsible for what happens under it, the same as any other Steam-linked service.
Fair play and bans
Cheating, using or trying out cheat software, exploiting bugs for an unfair advantage, getting around the anti-cheat, dodging a ban on another account, and abusing other players are all against the rules. So is anything else listed in the rules in our Discord.
If you break the rules we can remove you from a match, suspend you or ban you, without notice. A ban ends your access to the app, our servers and anything on your account, including a membership you have paid for. Paying for a membership does not protect you from the rules, and a ban for breaking them is not a reason for a refund.
Memberships
There are two paid memberships, Supporter and Supporter+. You can pay monthly or pay once for the lifetime of the project. A membership is a purchase of extra features and rewards. It is not a donation to a charity. The money goes towards server hosting and running costs.
Both memberships give you access to the highlight clip feature in the Continued Strike app, more in-application rewards when you play, and a role on our Discord. Supporter+ gives more in-application rewards than Supporter. The Shop page shows the prices.
A membership doesn't change matchmaking, your rating or how the game plays.
In-application rewards
In-application rewards are in-game items given to you when you play. Every player gets them, with or without a membership. A membership gives you more of them. Every player, member or not, has the same daily limit, and a membership doesn't raise it.
In-game items are for use inside Continued Strike only. They have no cash value, they can't be exchanged for money, and we don't buy them back. Selling or buying Continued Strike items or accounts for real money is against the rules.
Rewards may change as the game changes. Changes are announced on Discord. If a change takes away something you are paying for monthly, you can cancel at any time.
What lifetime means
Lifetime means the lifetime of the Continued Strike project. It does not mean your lifetime and it does not mean forever. A lifetime membership is one payment, and it stays on your Steam account for as long as Continued Strike keeps running. If the project closes, lifetime memberships end with it and are not refunded. If you already have lifetime Supporter, you can move up to lifetime Supporter+ by paying the difference between the two prices.
Monthly payments
A monthly membership is charged by PayPal on the day you set it up and on the same day each month after that, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Shop page. You keep the membership until the end of the month you've already paid for and no further payments are taken.
Starting straight away, cancelling and refunds
Your membership starts as soon as your payment goes through. When you buy, you ask for it to start straight away and you accept that, because it has started, the usual 14 day right to cancel an online purchase no longer applies.
Because of that, payments are not refunded, except where the law says they must be or where a payment was clearly made by mistake. If something has gone wrong with a payment, email [email protected] or message us on Discord first and we'll sort it out. If a payment is refunded, the membership it paid for is removed. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.
Chargebacks
A chargeback is when you ask your bank or card company to take a payment back instead of asking us. If any payment is charged back, every membership on the account is removed and new ones can't be bought until it is sorted out.
We contest chargebacks that are not justified. That includes a chargeback made after the membership was delivered and used, and a chargeback made after the account was banned for cheating or for breaking these terms or our rules. To do that we send PayPal or the bank our records: the purchase, your agreement to these terms, the membership being used on the account, and the reason for any ban.
If you charge back a payment without a reason that is valid under consumer law, you will be banned from Continued Strike. That covers the app, our servers, the website and our Discord. If you believe you are owed a refund, contact us first. Where the law says you are owed one, you will get it, and asking us never puts your account at risk.
Payments are handled by PayPal under PayPal's own terms. You can pay with a PayPal account or a card. We never see or store your card or PayPal details. You must be at least 18, or have the permission of the person who owns the card or account, to pay.
No warranty
Continued Strike is a community project in active development. Features change, break and get rebuilt. It's provided as it is, with no promise of uptime or that any free feature stays the way it is today.
Changes
These terms may change as the project develops. Important changes will be announced on Discord.
